Danbury Police Officer Arrested on Grand Larceny Charge in Dutchess County
Anthony Ramos and a second Pawling resident are accused of stealing from unlocked cars in LaGrange.

Danbury Police Officer Anthony Ramos, 28, of Pawling, N.Y., was arrested on a felony charge of grand larceny in the fourth degree.
“Due to the seriousness of the charges and to protect the integrity of the Danbury Police Department, Ramos was immediately relieved of duty and placed in paid administrative leave,” according to a press release from Danbury police.

The Danbury Police Department was informed of the arrest Friday by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Department.
Ramos has been a police officer in Danbury since 2012. According to the Hudson Valley News Network, Ramos and William Tyson, 26, of Pawling, allegedly targeted unlocked cars and stole items in the town of LaGrange.
