DWI Charge for Brewster Woman After Taconic Crash

New York State Police from the Stormville barracks arrested Lorena R. Cole, 46, of Brewster, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor.

Troopers were notified by a passing motorist Oct. 20 that there had been a one-car collision on the Taconic State Parkway in the area of mile post marker 34.3 northbound. Officers arrived and located an unoccupied vehicle in the lane of travel with heavy damage. Several minutes later, a woman emerged from a wooded area claiming that she had been involved in the crash. Troopers conducted an investigation at the scene and concluded that the woman was intoxicated.

Cole was arraigned before the Town of Kent Court and released on her own recognizance. She is due to reappear in Kent Court on Nov. 17.
