On February 21, 2015, New York State Police arrested Joseph N. Sparacino, 34, on Feb. 21 for Driving While Intoxicated.
The charge is a Class E Felony because the Poughkeepsie resident had a previous DWI-related conviction, police said.
Troopers stopped the car Sparacino was operating on Interstate 84 for traveling in excess of 80 miles per hour in a 65 mile per hour zone. During the interview, they noted clues that indicated he was intoxicated.
Sparacino was charged with Felony DWI when it was discovered that he was convicted of DWI in October of 2005.
Sparacino supplied police with a Blood Alcohol test and his BAC was .08 percent, police said. He was issued traffic tickets ordering him to appear in Kent town court March 4.
