Illegal Southeast Resident Faces Rape Charge
The Sheriff's Office alleges the 20-year-old had a relationship with a 13-year-old Putnam County girl.

Ronaldo Araely Lopez-Miguel of 785 Route 22 in Southeast faces a charge of Rape in the Second Degree, a felony; Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second Degree, a misdemeanor; and with Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, a misdemeanor.
In addition, detainer was placed on him by United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement after he was identified as an illegal alien.
Lopez-Miguel’s arrest was the result of an investigation initiated on Nov. 9 when the father of a 13-year-old Putnam County resident reported that his daughter was involved in a sexual relationship with the 20-year-old.

Lopez-Miguel was arrested Nov. 11 by criminal investigators from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department Bureau of Criminal Investigation. He was arraigned in front of Town of Southeast Justice Richard Vercollone and committed to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $100,000 cash or bond.
Lopez-Miguel is scheduled to appear in the Town of Southeast Justice Court to answer the charges on Dec. 8.
