PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — A New York City-based tour company is offering a special event April 23 tracing Sybil Ludington's Revolutionary Ride with a bus tour of colonial buildings in Putnam County along the historic route.

On April 26, 1777, Ludington, then 16, rode 40 miles in the dark to rally local militia men as the British set fire to Danbury.

Locations on the tour will include the site of the Ludington home and mill, the house built by Revolutionary War spy Enoch Crosby, and a "George Washington Slept Here" stop.
