Man Accused Of Drug Possession, Driving Without License
The sheriff's office said he couldn't provide a prescription for the drugs he had in his possession.
PUTNAM VALLEY, NY — A Westchester man was accused of illegal drug possession and driving with a suspended license. Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley Jr. said Devin West, 31, of Shrub Oak, was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both misdemeanors.
Around 9:20 a.m, April 22, a deputy stopped a vehicle he said had committed a traffic violation on Wood Street in the Town of Putnam Valley.
A check of the state DMV computer system found that West had a suspended driver's license, deputies said.

He was also found to have suboxone for which he did not provide a prescription, authorities said.
West was arrested and take to the Putnam County Correctional Facility for processing.

He was released on his own recognizance and issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Putnam Valley Justice Court.
