Mental Hospital Staffer Accused of Sexual Contact with Patient

He's in Westchester County Jail facing felony and misdemeanor charges.

LEWISBORO, NY — A Carmel man faces charges after allegations that he had sexual contact with a patient at Four Winds Hospital while he was a staffer there.

On February 3, 2017, the New York State Police arrested 31-year-old Dominic R. Sbordone Feb. 3 and charged him with Criminal Sexual Act 3rd Degree, a Class E Felony, and Sexual Abuse in the 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

The arrest stems from an investigation into a report that Sbordone had engaged in sexual contact with a 19-year-old patient of the hospital, which provides inpatient and outpatient mental health treatment services for children, adolescents and adults.

Sbordone was arraigned before the Honorable Susan Simon in the Town of Lewisboro Court and sent to the Westchester County Jail without bail. An Order of Protection was issued directing the defendant to refrain from all contact with the victim.
