No! Chance of Showers: Brewster's Columbus Day Weekend Weather

Check out our lists of great fall weekend activities and contemplate just how much rain two storms brought Southeast in eight days.

SOUTHEAST, NY — Feels like fall: high temps will generally be in the 60s to lower 70s. It will be at least partly sunny, and breezy too, says the National Weather Service.

Get outside when there's sun, which should be every day...even if there's a rising chance of rain as the three-day weekend progresses.

"The copious rainfall amounts from this summer continue to rise, and are an ongoing issue for flood concerns," said Alex Marra and Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

The most we got in the first set of severe thunderstorms, Sept. 27, was 1.2 inches, and it seemed like a lot to fall in just an hour or so. But the tornadoes and storms that swept through Oct. 2, well, the highest amount was 4.2 inches. Those numbers, you really should look at.
