NYS Troopers Stop Taxi From Connecticut On I-684, Find Heroin
The passenger, a Waterbury resident, is under arrest.
SOUTHEAST, NY — New York State police stopped a Nissan Sentra operating as a taxi service on I-684 at 9 a.m. Dec. 6 for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. In the process, they said they developed probable cause to search the car.
And the passenger, in whose possession they allege they found 95 decks of heroin.
Thomas R. King, 26, of Waterbury, Connecticut, faces charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree with intent to sell, both class B felonies.

King was arraigned before the town of Patterson Court, and sent by the Honorable Judge Anthony Mole to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 secure bond. King is next scheduled to appear before the Court on Dec. 19.
A deck is a single dose of heroin and can cost upward of $10.
