Patterson Man Faces Strangulation, Criminal Mischief Charges
State police from the Brewster barracks were called to a domestic dispute.

On Sept. 13, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from Brewster arrested John Alexander, 47, of Patterson, New York, for Strangulation 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony, and Criminal Mischief 4th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.
At approximately 9:41 p.m., troopers were dispatched by Putnam County 911 to a physical domestic dispute in Patterson. It was reported that Alexander had physically assaulted the victim by choking her. He also damaged the victim’s cell phone during the dispute.
Alexander was arraigned in the Town of Southeast court and released on his own recognizance. He was scheduled to appear in the Town of Patterson Court on Sept. 17.
