Peekskill Man Pushed His Way Into Victim's House: Sheriff
With two previous felony convictions, he was sent to the Putnam County Jail without bail.
PUTNAM VALLEY, NY — A Peekskill man is accused of pushing his way into a woman's home and taking a cell phone away from her. At 10 p.m. May 18, Putnam County Sheriff Deputy Kevin Radovich was dispatched to a residence in the Lake Peekskill area. He interviewed the 44-year-old victim and investigated the complaint.
That investigation led to the arrest of Jamon Johnson, 44. Johnson, who is known to the victim, is
alleged to have pushed his way in, damaged property and pushed the woman into a coffee table causing bruising to her hip and thigh area.
Johnson was charged with Robbery in the Third Degree (Class D Felony), Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree (Class E Felony), Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree (Class A Misdemeanor), 2 counts of Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree (Class A Misdemeanor), and Harassment in the Second Degree (Violation).

Johnson was arraigned by the Honorable Justice Louis DiCarlo of the Town of Putnam Valley Justice Court.
Because Johnson has two previous felony convictions, Justice DiCarlo remanded him to the Putnam County Correctional Facility without bail.
