
SOUTHEAST, NY – New York State Police from the Brewster barracks arrested Miguel O. Melendez, 21, of Carmel, New York, on Sunday. He is charged with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony.

They say an investigation revealed that the vehicle, which was operated by Melendez, had a counterfeit New York State Inspections sticker affixed to the windshield.

Melendez was arraigned in the Town of Southeast Court before the Honorable Judge Folchetti.

He was sent to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
