The Putnam Arts Council and Putnam County Tourism challenged area artists 13 and over to create work this summer to be exhibited in the a. Eric Arctander Gallery at the Putnam Arts Council this September. The show opened on Saturday, September 4, continues through September 19 and features 50 works including drawings, paintings, photography, prints, and mixed media pieces. Some artists chose to feature destinations such as Boscobel and Tilly Foster Farm while others chose to feature wooded areas, lake scenes and even their own backyards. Several artists took an interpretive approach and created abstracts they felt represented the beauty of Putnam County.
