Putnam Misses Out on Private Sector Job Growth
But a new report says the county region didn't lose ground.

Putnam and Dutchess counties, considered a region for a new report from the New York Department of Labor, didn't gain any private-sector jobs; but, the region didn't lose any either -- unlike the situation in past reports.
For example, in the 12 months ending in November, the Putnam-Dutchess metro area lost 2.7 percent of its private sector jobs, state labor officials had said.
The data show that Westchester, Rockland and Orange counties were among the places where private sector jobs grew most rapidly over the past 12 months.
