Saturday Scribes January Meeting Features Mystery Writer John Roche
Saturday Scribes will spotlight mystery writer John Roche on January 9th at The Studio Around the Corner, 67 Main Street, in Brewster, New York. The free gathering begins at 7 p.m. with an open mic, followed by the headliner. Those wishing to share their stories, poems, and songs are invited, as well as those simply looking for a fun night of wordplay.
John Roche is a seasoned New York City journalist. Born and raised in the Bronx, he has worked for The Record Review, The Bronx Times, Co-op City Times, and Newsday. With such a background, it’s no surprise that Roche’s first novel, Bronx Bound, focuses on a New York reporter. Sent to cover a murder, Matt Brady discovers he knows the deceased. As his sleuthing intensifies, the newsman’s life grows increasingly imperiled.
