Should Brewster Extend Development Moratorium?

Give the village trustees your input at Wednesday's public hearing.

The Brewster Board of Trustees will hold a Public Hearing Sept. 2 to get public input about extending the Interim Development Local Law for three months.

It was adopted Sept. 3, 2014 to last 12 months. The point was to prevent any further development of the area to be designated for urban renewal until completion of the comprehensive plan update and urban renewal plan because such development could adversely affect the update’s purposes, components and goals.

Text of the proposed Local Law are available to the general public in the Village Clerk’s office or online at www.brewstervillage-ny.gov.
