Slippery Road Crash Closes Route 52
NYSEG is working to restore power to more than 1,000 customers in Kent and Lake Carmel.
KENT, NY — Slippery road conditions caused a one-car crash on Route 52 with a cascading effect on local residents, according to the Putnam County Courier.
A car smashed into a downed a utility pole at about 6 a.m., Eric Gross reported.
The road is closed in both directions between Ludingtonville Road and Farmers Mill Road. About 1,500 customers are out of power in the Lake Carmel-Kent area.
