Traveling Vietnam War Memorial Coming Through Brewster Sept. 23
Catch the Traveling Wall and its formal escort then, see it at Putnam County Veterans Memorial Park, or help take it down and send it on.

The Traveling Wall will be coming through the Village of Brewster Sept. 23 on the way to Putnam County Veterans Memorial Park.
The escort of motor cycles and law enforcement will be leaving the rest area on 684 north around 3:30 p.m. and are expected to enter the village about 3:40- 3:45 p.m.
June Offermann, president of the Southeast Seniors, is organizing a gathering starting at 3 p.m. at the corner of Peaceable Hill Rd and Route 6. They will line the streets holding American flags while the sscort passes.

The Opening Ceremony for the exhibit is at 7 p.m. Sept. 24 and the closing will be at noon Sept 27 for the Wall and 1 PM for local Gold Star Mothers.
After the closing we will be disassembling the wall with volunteers—all are welcome.

A free shuttle bus will run from the Southeast train station to Veteran Park.
There will be a continuous reading of all the names of those who lost their lives in Vietnam.
