West Hartford Man Arrested In New York

New York state police said they found a party drug in the Connecticut man's car.

SOUTHEAST NY — A Connecticut man faces felony drug charges n New York after a traffic stop on I-684 May 1.

New York State Police from the Brewster barracks arrested Christopher P. Thai, 27, of West Hartford, CT, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th degree, a class C felony.

At about 8:40 p.m. May 1, troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 2007 Honda Civic in Southeast for several violations of the vehicle and traffic law.

They say their investigation turned up roughly 1.51 grams of Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA).

Thai was arraigned before the town of Patterson Court and sent to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond. Thai is next scheduled to appear before the Southeast Court on May 17.
