More than 100 firefighters battled the blaze for hours, while a second resident and a firefighter sustained minor injuries and were also hospitalized for evaluation.
• UCF's Maahir Rahi Pursues Research at National Laboratory (ucf.edu) — A University of Central Florida materials science student is spending the summer in New York through Stony Brook University’s ELEAN nanomanufacturing program, working at Brookhaven National Laboratory.
