Two Syosset stores offer alternative to Long Island mall crowd scenes.
It has become a staple of the Thanksgiving holiday. No, not Turkey, or relish, or even canned yams, but Black Friday preparation.
The holiday season, if it hasn't already, officially begins on Friday with a bonanza of shopping rushes and one day only sales. For those not wishing to brave the large mall crowds, but still hoping to strike on a few deals, two Syosset stores are more then willing to accommodate.
Radio Shack, located within the n shopping centre on Jericho Turnpike, is offering a bevy of Black Friday deals. But it may be a good idea to crawl into bed early on Thanksgiving night: the store will swing its doors open on Black Friday at 5:30am.

According to Radio Shack's Thanksgiving circular, consumers will be able to purchase Hitachi LCD TV's for $149.99, a $50 savings off the normal list price. Blue Tooth headsets will be available for $9.99, a $20 savings.
Those shopping for music fans will be able to purchase an eight-gigabyte Ipod Touch for $229.99. Ipod Touch purchasers will also receive a free $20 Radio Shack gift card.

Buying a camera? Radio Shack is offering $50 savings on Casio digital cameras. This purchase will also include a $10 gift card.
Tired of having to give directions? GPS systems will be on sale for $69.99, $60 off the normal price.
Radio Shack isn't the only store in the King Kullen shopping centre offering deals on Friday. , a video game store, also provides a way for Syosset residents to save without the mall crowd scene hassle. The store is set to open its doors at 5 a.m.
According to a circular leaked on Saturday to Black-Friday.net, GameStop will be offering a free copy of Madden 11 or Medal of Honor with the purchase of an Xbox 360 game console. The console will run the buyer $199.99, a $60 dollar savings.
Three free games will be offered with the purchase of a Wii gaming system bundle or a PS3 gaming bundle. Both offers save consumers over $80 off original market value. These deals are being billed as "door busters," and will only be offered until 12p.m.
Other offers from include 50% off GameStop Holliday Accessory Bundles, $50 off the Special Edition Wii 25th Anniversary Super Mario Bundle, and $10 to $15 dollars off select individual games.
Those are only some of the deals offered by the two electronic stores. A litany of smaller deals will also be available.
Thanks to these two stores, Syosset residents looking for economically friendly holiday shopping won't have to go far.
