'Cars 2' Draws Hundreds to Movie Night
Despite weather concerns, 4th Annual Movie Night draws hundreds.
Thehosted their fourth annual movie night Wednesday. Despite ominous skies, 200 children and parents sat under the stars to enjoy the Pixar hit, "Cars 2."
Town Councilman Chris Coschignano awarded citations to several businesses, including Syosset Patch, Moe's Southwest Grill of Woodbury, , and Frank and Marilyn Urso of .
Movie night is one of several events hosted by the Chamber of Commerce for families. A fall festival date is currently being nailed down, has been booked, and the is already being organized for the first week in December.

Over the past few months, the chamber has been able to revamp itself after a dwindling economy, sometimes signing on multiple members at a time.
"We've had a lot of new members joining and new businesses in the area," said chamber president Lisa Predmore in June. "Businesses are coming around and we're growing."

The chamber also relocated to a permanent home on Roosevelt Avenue.
With the , the chamber expects the growth to continue.
