Chamber Welcomes New Syosset Businesses

Bella Notte and Sprint iMobile join the club.

Two businesses hoping to expand their reach were recently welcomed to town by the Syosset Chamber of Commerce.

On June 21 Italian restaurant Bella Notte had its official grand opening at 98 Jackson Ave. Partners Teddy Kumbas and Richard Mulier hope to build on the success of their establishment of the same name in Bellmore.

"We originally wanted to have a place here because Teddy knows so many people in the area," Mulier says. "We just couldn't find the right place and the spot in Bellmore became available. But we wanted something bigger and we hope we can attract the same local crowd that we have in Bellmore."

On Wednesday night the Sprint iMobile store celebrated its grand opening on 404 Jericho Tpke. The location has already been open for several months across from Borders, but regional manager Bobby Sanghavi is still looking to let Syosset customers know that they have another option when short on time.

The closest location prior was on Newtown Road in Plainview, but Sanghavi understands that when people are running errands on a lunch hour a mile can make a big difference.

"We offer sales, repairs, bill payments, everything," Sanghavi says. "It's important to give people those services right where they're at."
