
The Cultural Arts Playhouse begins its 2017 summer season with the most acclaimed broadway musical West Side Story.
From the first notes to the final breath, West Side Story is one of the most memorable musicals and greatest love stories of all time. The score by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim is widely regarded as one of the best ever written. The book by Arthur Laurents remains as powerful, poignant and timely as ever, touching upon race relations, immigration, police and community relations and gun control. This production is presented with a large talented cast and features such classic songs as Maria, Tonight, Somewhere, America, Something’s Coming, Gee Officer Krupke and Jet Song. Performances begin June 23 and run through July 23. Michael Creta and Danielle Ducey star as Tony and Maria.
