Cynthia Seiden Joins Variety Child Learning Center as Principal of its Syosset Campus

Variety Child Learning Center (Variety), a leading nonprofit organization providing specialized educational services to children and their families, today announced that Cynthia Seiden has joined the organization as Principal of its Syosset campus, according to Janet Koch, Variety’s Chief Executive Officer.

Ms. Seiden, a resident of West Hempstead, brings more than 25 years of experience in special education across public and private school settings, serving both in the classroom and in administrative leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Principal and Education Director at Birch Family Services: Soundview Early Childhood Center in the Bronx.

She began her career as a special education teacher in both private and public schools, including the Huntington Central School District. From the classroom, Ms. Seiden advanced into the role of assistant principal, a transition that provided a strong foundation for her subsequent work as a school principal and educational director.

“Cynthia brings a child-centered, holistic approach to leading impactful special education programs, curriculum, and related services,” said Ms. Koch. “We are thrilled to welcome her to Variety. Ms. Seiden earned a Master of Science degree in Special Education from University at Albany and a Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology and dance from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. She also holds an Advanced Certificate from Queens College’s Educational Leadership Program, along with multiple professional certifications.

Variety Child Learning Center (Variety) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that fosters the development, education and inclusion of children who require specialized services.
