Last month's . One of the reasons that improvement was tiny and not terrific is the closing of businesses. Although Borders is the most prominent empty business in Syosset, a scenic trip down Jericho Turnpike involves a lot of For Sale and Office Space signs.

This week, we're looking at the former property.
. The 5,400 square foot interior space looks brand new with picture windows along the east side of the building. Owned by First Development Corporation in Hauppauge, the property is described as prime corner real estate for any business, with almost 38,000 cars passing it each day on South Oyster Bay Road and Jericho Turnpike.
