Fairway Market and the Nassau County Firefighters Museum and Education Center are challenging the self-proclaimed best firehouse chefs in Nassau County to a BBQ Cook-off by competing against each other to see who makes the best barbecue ribs and hamburgers on Long Island, and to enforce grilling safety tips.
Judges include "Sopranos" actor Joseph Gannascoli, Edward Mangano, Anton community Newspapers and Fairway's own master butcher Ray Venezia.
Fire Departments participating include Bethpage, Freeport, North Massapequa, Rockville Centre,Syosset and Wantagh.
