
Think Long Island First, a company dedicated to
promoting goods made on Long Island, will be celebrating a one year anniversary by opening its doors in the heart of downtown Oyster Bay. This inaugural year will be celebrated with an Open House event on Saturday, October 8, which is open to the public.
Artists whose work is showcased at the store will be in attendance, as well as the two founders, Ewa Rumprecht and Jolanta Zamecka.
The burgeoning company launched one year ago with 28 artists, craftspeople, writers and chefs. The wares showcased and the artists represented have multiplied along with interest in the store – Think Long Island First now represents 109 talented Long Islanders.

The store has doubled its space in the last month. It carries various products such as wood-turned objects, pottery, photography, stationary, metal sculpture, cosmetics, jewelry, knits, honey, jam and jellies – all crafted within the area.
People in the community are pleasantly surprised to learn that their neighbors are creating such exceptional items. They have been overwhelmed with the positive response and support from the public for items made locally on Long Island.
