ICYMI: Syosset Man Who Posed As Federal Air Marshal Sentenced To 6 Years In Prison: DA

In case you missed it, here's a story that appeared last week in Syosset Patch:
A Syosset man was sentenced to six years in prison on Friday for impersonating a federal air marshal and possessing multiple weapons in his car and home in 2015, according to Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas.
In January, 51-year-old Mark Vicars, pleaded guilty before Supreme Court Justice William Donnino to three counts of second degree criminal possession of a weapon and one count of second degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, the DA said.

In addition to jail time, Vicars was sentences to five years' post-release supervision. The DA recommended a sentence of 15 years in prison.
In 2015, during a traffic stop on Jericho Turnpike in Syosset Vicars pulled over and activated emergency lights on his 2014 Dodge Durango, the DA said.
