Man Falls 15 Feet From Ladder in Huntington Station

The 41-year-old was airlifted to a local hospital Saturday afternoon.

A 41-year-old man was airlifted to a local hospital after he fell 15 feet from a ladder Saturday afternoon in Huntington Station.

Medical personnel and Suffolk officers arrived to the Algonquin Drive location at around 1:11 p.m. to immobilize the man and get him ready to be taken to Stony Brook University Hospital via Medevac.

The Huntington Community First Aid Squad ambulance met the flight crew at Manor Field to take the man to the hospital, where he was found to have suffered fractures to two cervical vertebrae.

The man is reported to be in stable condition and is doing well, HCFAS said.

Huntington Manor Fire Department personnel also responded to the scene and helped secure the landing zone at Manor Field.
