Man Fatally Struck by 3 Vehicles in Woodbury

A 39-year-old pedestrian was walking across the street and was fatally struck by three vehicles in Woodbury on Thursday night, police said.

According to police, the man was walking across Woodbury Road when he was hit by a 2013 Mercedes Benz, operated by a 65-year-old man, that was traveling northbound at 7:49 p.m.

The impact caused the pedestrian to land in the opposite lanes where he was then struck by two other vehicles, including a Chevy van, that were traveling in the southbound lanes, police said.

All drivers remained on the scene and police do not suspect criminality at this time.

The identity of the man killed is pending family notification.
