The Sabrina Navaretta Memorial Foundation successfully hosted its third annual High School Hockey Night at the Town of Oyster Bay Ice Skating Center. The event brought together hundreds of community members for an evening of hockey, remembrance and charitable giving. The evening honored Sabrina Navaretta, a Syosset graduate and University of Delaware freshman whose passion for giving, animal rescue and love of hockey continue to inspire her community.

"Sabrina would be very happy to see that people are giving back and supporting causes that she cared about. Having our community come together for this event, are able to do so much for others. This hockey event is also about remembrance, bringing people together and continuing Sabrina's mission of giving back. Every donation helps us keep Sabrina's spirit of generosity alive," said Mara Navaretta, co-founder of the Sabrina Navaretta Foundation.

In a special tribute, Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman dropped the ceremonial puck, honoring Sabrina's memory and the Foundation's important work in the community. The event also featured a ceremonial puck drop for the second game by Syosset High School Principal, Dr. Giovanni Durante. Before the game, Town of Oyster Bay Councilman Andrew A. Monteleone presented a citation to John and Mara Navaretta.

The evening’s first game was a spirited matchup between Alumni players from Suffolk County Police Department and the Fire Department of the City of New York. The game had a notable moment when John Navaretta, Sabrina's father and co-founder of the Sabrina Navaretta Memorial Foundation, scored a goal. This was followed by a thrilling high school game between the Varsity teams from Syosset High School Braves and the Bethpage High School Eagles.
The event also included raffles, a Chinese auction, free commemorative t-shirts and holiday-themed giveaways. Community members showed overwhelming support with donations that will directly benefit the Foundation's charitable programs.

The evening also featured cross-charity collaboration, with Paws of War in attendance to support the Foundation's mission and connect with community members.
