NFL Legend Dan Marino Coming to Woodbury

A former Miami Dolphin is coming to town. NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino will be in Woodbury on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. to celebrate the grand-opening of "Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza," where he is a partner.

The new restaurant is located in the Woodbury Marketplace at 8063 Jericho Turnpike. Anthony’s, which also has a location in Carle Place, is best known for "its high energy atmosphere, signature menu items, quality ingredients and of course, its use of 800-degree anthracite coal-burning ovens." 

Food and drinks will be provided throughout the grand opening festivities, and Marino will be on hand to preview the upcoming NFL season as well as talk about his favorite dish at the restaurant - the "Eggplant Marino."

Unfortunately for those just hoping to catch a glimpse of the legend or just to try out the new food, the event Monday is invitation-only - the restaurant will be open to the public on Tuesday. Check back with Syosset Patch next week for the story.
