No. 83: Take Horseback Riding Lessons

In our weekly countdown this week we are prancing off the beaten path, heading to the Christian Fellowship Ranch.

Hay! Did you know that there is a "mane" attraction right here in North Syosset off Split Rock Road? If you are interested in taking horseback riding lessons then we have the perfect beautifully maintained ranch for you. 

You may have noticed a sign for the as you head north out of town. Take a turn down this road and after passing two beautiful estates, slowly come to the end of the road and you will be swept with unbridled enthusiasm as you see the cleanest stable and grounds around.

Lessons given are in English or Western, from beginner to the national level. There is also a therapeutic riding program available through the Long Island Riding for the Handicapped Association.

They offer summer camp for ages eight through 18. Besides two riding lessons daily, included are sessions in saddling and bridling, grooming, clipping, bathing, horse health, and more.
