Syosset sets a record with two teams in the top five.
's Science Olympiad "A" team won first place in the Western Long Island Regional Science Olympiad at Kellenberg High School. Team "B" placed fifth which set a New York State record by qualifying two teams for the tournament from one high school. Syosset has placed in the top five at the Western Long Island Regional Science Olympiad for seven consecutive years.
These young scientists will move on to compete at the state championships at Canisius College in Buffalo at the end of the month.
