Mike Walsh's pieces are up through the end of July.
Late nights working in NYC during a career in graphic design proved inspirational for Mike Walsh.
"I would be walking and see the the city lights forming designs out of the buildings and think, 'I could create those in paintings,'" the 76-year-old Syosset resident says.
Walsh didn't stop looking for ideas, taking pictures of snow leopards at the Bronx Zoo and viewing countless ships in Freeport. The fruit of his ideas are on display at the Syosset Public Library through the end of the month.
