Police: Custodian Made Terroristic Threats Against East Norwich School

He threatened the school and a teacher, police said.

A Bethpage man was arrested Thursday for making a terroristic threat against a school and a faculty member in the Oyster Bay-East Norwich Central School District last week, police said.

According to authorities, a teacher at James H. Vernon School, located at 880 Oyster Bay Road in East Norwich, was talking to a custodian when the custodian began to make verbal threats towards another teacher and towards the school in general at 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4.

Police arrested the custodian, identified as 40-year-old Brian Hulsen, at his Bethpage home on Thursday at 3:45 p.m. He was charged with making a terroristic threat.

Hulsen will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Friday.
