Police: New Cassel Man's Car Was Equipped With Stolen Parts

The 22-year-old was arrested Monday.

A New Cassel man was arrested Monday after police discovered that his car was allegedly equipped with stolen parts.

According to authorities, an investigation of a stolen 1990 Honda, which was stolen in May, led detectives to a 2000 Acura Integra owned by 22-year-old Pierre Kerlegrand.

Police said the Acura was equipped with the stolen car’s engine, suspension, rims and tires.

Kerlegrand was arrested in Westbury and charged with two counts of criminal possession of stolen property. He will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
