Record Smashing Jackpot Brings Hordes to Syosset Pharmacy [POLL]
Neighbors flock to Village Pharmacy to make sure they're in it to win it.
"Hey, why haven't we done a Mega Millions pool here," asked 's Lenny Simon.
"Because I don't want to share," shouted an employee from behind the nasal spray.
Village Pharmacy is flooded with Syossetites buying chances to win over half a billion dollars in the Mega Millions. Thursday's jackpot reached a record shattering $540 million dollars, making Village a hot spot for ticket sales.

"There's been about 20 times more [tickets purchased] than usual," said Simon, who couldn't recall a lottery this frenzied, including the one in 2007.
"It hasn't been like this since the lotto was in the 300 millions…Now it's almost double that."

According to the Huffington Post, the jackpot winner would take home $237,047,700 after state taxes.
"People are buying tickets in bulk and going into pools with friends or coworkers," said Simon.
Regardless of the winner, Simon says Village is winning big time traffic through their small town storefront.
"It would be great to get a winner."
