Report: Syosset Borders on New Closing List
The store is one of 51 on the new list that is facing a possible shut down.

The Wall Street Journal recently reported that private-equity firm Najafi Companies is one of the suitors looking to buy the bankrupt company. The new list of 51 stores to possibly close included one in Riverhead and several in New York City.
The Syosset Borders is a popular destination for Syosset High students and tutors for after-school studying. The Seattle's Best Coffee cafe is frequently packed as customers enjoy using the free Wi-Fi Borders offers.

Employees at Borders declined to comment. Shares of Borders Group Inc. were down 3 cents to 23 cents a share in early morning trading Friday.
