Silver Alert Issued for Missing Bethpage Man

Nassau Police have issued a Silver Alert for a man who has gone missing from his Bethpage home.

Police say George Davenio, 49, was last seen on Oct. 9. Davenio, who suffers from schizophrenia and is nonviolent, has not taken his medication in several days. He is described as 6-foot-three, 280 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue shirt, black shoes, white socks and a blue-gray jacket, police said.

No additional information was immediately available, nor was a photo available at this time.
