SYOSSET CYCLONES SOFTBALL FALL LEAGUE CHAMPIONS

The Syosset Cyclones U10 squad, which is part of the SYAC Travel Softball program in Syosset, captured first place in the East Meadow Fall Tournament on November 5.

The Cyclones triumphed over NY Bluefire by a score of 3-1. Outstanding pitching was turned in by Sofia Caracciolo, who went all six innings, striking out 10 opposing players in the process.

Hitting highlights include doubles by Madison Santoro and Isabella Martelli and key RBI’s by Mackenzie Murray and Farrah Catalano.

“We could not be more proud of the girls this year,” says coach Charlie Santoro. “They showed a lot of heart and determination, and the hard work they put in from countless hours of practice really paid off. They are true champs!”

The Cyclones finished the season with a record of 32-12-2. Outscoring their opponents by an average of 9 runs.

SYAC Travel fields four squads in local travel leagues, including squads at U12, U 10 and U8.
