Syosset Man Drove Drunk With Child in Car: Police

BREAKING: The man was arrested Monday night, police say.

A Syosset man faces felony charges after police say he drove drunk on the Long Island Expressway with his 4-year-old daughter in the car Monday night.

According to authorities, Fei Guo, 45, was driving a 2015 Jeep eastbound on the LIE at Exit 39 in Westbury at 9:06 p.m. He was unable to stay in his lane, driving across roadway markings and driving below the speed limit, police say.

Guo was pulled over and the officer observed the man’s daughter in a child safety seat in the rear of the vehicle, police say. Guo was arrested at the scene and the child was released to a family member.

No injuries were reported.

Guo was charged with DWI, aggravated driving while intoxicated (Leandra's Law), DWI (BAC+ 0.08) failure to signal lane change, driving across roadway markings, failure to stay in a single lane, minimum speed violation posted limit and failure to notify change of address.

He will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
