Syosset Man Stole $54K From His Employer's Corporate Accounts: Police
The man would falsify company receipts and use the money to buy items for his own personal use, police say.

Two men employed by Cablevision were recently arrested after police say they stole approximately $69,0000 from their employer’s business corporate accounts from September 2015 to March.

An internal investigation revealed the employees of Cablevision, located at 1111 Stewart Ave. in Bethpage, would falsify company receipts to make it look like their purchases were legitimate and would then use the money to buy items for their own personal use, police say.
Lukasz Gogolewski, 37, of Middle Village, and Eugene Mishkevich, 38, of Syosset, are accused of stealing $15,000 and $54,374 from their employer, respectively.

Cablevision sent Patch a statement regarding the incident:
“While we do not comment on specific personnel matters, this isolated incident was identified by the company and turned over to the proper authorities.”
Gogolewski was arrested April 18 and was charged with third-degree grand larceny. He was arraigned on April 19 at First District Court in Hempstead.
Mishkevich was arrested Tuesday and was charged with second-degree grand larceny. He will be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court.
