Teens Arrested After Burglarizing Syosset Restaurant: Police

SYOSSET, NY - Two teens were arrested on Wednesday for burglarizing a Syosset restaurant and charged with attempting to rob a woman at gunpoint in Hicksville along with a third teen earlier this month, according to Nassau Police.
On Monday, Sept. 19, two males broke a window on the side of Cousin’s Pizza and Pasta on 92 Jackson Avenue, entered the business and stole the cash register which contained an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
After an investigation, detectives responded to Mercy First Youth Facility located on 525 Convent Road, where they arrested 18-year-old Brian Ramos, and an unidentified 15-year-old boy in connection to the crime, police said.

During the investigation the two teens along with 16-year-old Andy Garcia, also a resident at Mercy First Youth Facility, were also found to be connected to an attempted robbery in Hicksville on Wednesday, Sept. 21, police said.
The trio, one armed with what was reportedly a handgun wrapped in a shirt, approached a 28-year-old woman who was in her car at the Broadway Mall parking lot, police said.

The second teen opened her car door while the third demanded the her wallet and cellphone, police said.
The woman drove away before she was robbed and the trio fled on foot, police said.
No injuries were reported.
Ramos and the unidentified teen are charged with second degree attempted robbery, first degree attempted robbery, third degree burglary and third degree criminal mischief, police said.
Garcia is charged with second degree attempted robbery and first degree attempted robbery, police said.
They will be arraigned on Thursday.
