The Great Escape: Walk Audrey Avenue in Oyster Bay
Check out this charming street with lots to see.
Here's our weekly hourly getaway for moms and dads who may need some time for themselves. Today's time out is a walking tour of a quaint street located in downtown Oyster Bay.
As you bear right by Town Hall, walking north on Audrey Avenue, you will come upon Ben's Garden There is more here than just beautiful garden design products. They manufacture, on the premises, lovely decoupage glass trays, coasters, and paperweights. Heading towards the back of the store, you may get a chance to see artisans hard at work creating hundreds of styles, custom ones too.
Directly next-door is 20th Century Cycles and if you think that name sounds familiar, that's because it's Billy Joel's famous motorcycle gallery. Whenever it is open, which is sporadically, you can be sure that hogs by the dozens are rumbling by and lining up in front while bike owners share prized info about their two-wheeled passions.

Across the street is A Healthy U, an intimate healthy way of life food and vitamin store with personalized service.
Next door is the Oyster Bay Railroad Museum a fun preview center to visit for train enthusiasts. The organization is working diligently to someday house this museum in a state-of-the-art facility located in the original completely restored train station from 1889.
