THETA CHI FRATERNITY OF LIU POST HELPS RAISE AWARENESS OF PTSD IN FIRST RESPONDERS
The Theta Chi Fraternity is holding a PTSD Awareness car show fundraiser on August 26th in Bayville. Proceeds to go to "The Station House"
The Theta Chi Fraternity of Long Island University at C.W. Post with help from the New York AutoFest, will be hosting a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Awareness Car show Fundraiser on, Wednesday August 26 starting at 5:30 pm at Ransom Beach in Bayville. The proceeds are going to “The Station House Retreat,” which is a inpatient treatment facility for responders and ran by first responders. The Station House treats first responders suffering from PTSD to substance abuse disorders. There is a suggested donation of $5 per car and the first 50 cars will receive a dash plaque; there will also be raffles including a 50/50. The goal of this fundraiser is to bring more public awareness of the growing epidemic of PTSD facing our veterans and our first responders and to show them they are not alone and do not need to suffer in silence anymore. There are 22 veterans and 18 first responders that see no way out and take their own lives everyday in our country; its time we take a stand and help those who give everything of themselves to help us! We hope to see you wednesday night! For more information on Theta Chi at LIU Post please visit us on instagram at ThetaChi_LIU and on Facebook at ThetaChi LIUPost
