Worker Fatally Falls 27-Feet Trimming Tree in Syosset
The incident occurred Tuesday morning, police said.

SYOSSET, NY— A 53-year-old landscaping worker was killed when police said he fell 27-feet out of a bucket truck while trimming a tree Tuesday morning in Syosset.
According to authorities, Stephan Wright, of Hempstead, was working in front of a Lorraine Street home when he fell out of a bucket truck and onto the ground at 10:15 a.m.
Wright, who was employed by A1 Tree and Shrub Service, Inc. in Freeport, was not wearing protective gear or a harness, police said.

He was taken to Nassau University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead by emergency room staff.
The occupational Safety and Health Administration was notified and is investigating safety issues.
