DoubleTree By Hilton Syracuse Recognizes Employees with Awards
Team Leader of the Year and Associate of the Year Recognized
DoubleTree by Hilton Syracuse, a 250-room hotel in Carrier Circle, recently celebrated an evening of recognition for its employees with an awards banquet. DoubleTree by Hilton Syracuse Director of Sales and Marketing Kevin Connolly made the announcement.
Employees dressed up and participated in a themed award night of the 60s and 70s show, “Let’s Make a Deal.” Dawn Militi, who has been a DoubleTree by Hilton Syracuse team member for 11 years, was honored with the “Team Leader of the Year” award. Susan Karkowski, who has been with DoubleTree by Hilton Syracuse for 14 years, was recognized with the “Associate of the Year” award.
“We appreciate the hard work and dedication to our hotel and the local community that are shown by our employees every day,” said Connolly. “Our team goes above and beyond to make accommodations perfect for guests, and we’d like to congratulate Dawn and Susan for these well-deserved accomplishments.”
A Syracuse-area native, Militi works as the banquet manager. Previously, she worked in the banking industry as a city manager and operations manager for more than 30 years. Karkowski has worked as a full-time banquet server throughout her career at DoubleTree by Hilton Syracuse. She also has played a key role in assisting with room service and patio activities when needed.
Team appreciation is one of the focus areas at DoubleTree by Hilton Syracuse. Throughout 2018, human resources and the CARE Team (a team committed to quality service that equates to a passionate brand personality) have plans to recognize
employees with 50/50 raffles, dress down days, internal contests and more that can result in individual prizes and charitable contributions to the local community.
