TARRYTOWN, NY — State Police in Troop K said they removed 28 impaired drivers from public roadways over the July 4 weekend. Among them was a Bronx man who apparently stopped his car on the Sprain Brook Parkway — not on the shoulder.

On July 4, State Police from SP Hawthorne arrested Male Jackson, 55, of Bronx, NY, for DWAI Drugs. He was traveling on the Sprain Brook Parkway in the town of Greenburgh, when he was found parked in a lane of travel. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of drugs, police alleged.
